Known Issues

The Xbox Insider Release notes do not ignore known issues! It may take Xbox engineers longer to fix the issues. Time to find a solution. If you encounter these issues, please follow the instructions and send feedback to Report a Problem.

Audio

  • Users have reported intermittent audio issues across the dashboard, apps, and games. If you are experiencing issues, make sure you have the most recent firmware updates for your TV or other equipment. If you’re unsure, you may need to contact the manufacturer for assistance.
    • Note:: If you continue to experience issues after applying the latest firmware updates, please submit feedback via Report a Problem immediately with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option, then select the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”. Include as much detail as possible.
      • When did this issue begin?
      • Do you lose audio in the app/game or also on your system?
      • Does changing the audio format solve the problem? If so, which format was used before and after the change?
      • Does restarting the computer resolve the problem?
      • What is your setup? Equipment, layout, etc.
      • Please provide any additional information that you can to reproduce the issue.

Game Card

  • Some users are reporting an unexpected black screen when opening the game card or selecting “Show in Microsoft Store” after it has opened, and we are investigating.

Play the Game

  • We are investigating user reports that some titles may have unexpected display or graphics issues.

Networking

  • We are investigating reports that the console does not connect to its network when it boots. If you experience this, be sure to report the issue via Report a Problem as soon as you’re able.

Always remember to use Report a problem to keep us informed of any issues you encounter. We may not be able to respond to everyone, but the data we’ll gather is crucial to finding a resolution.
